Project Overview

PT Elbema Integra Indonesia performed the cleaning of several heat exchanger units as part of the Turn Around (TA) maintenance at PERTAMINA RU VI Balongan refinery. This critical maintenance activity was essential to ensure the refinery’s equipment reliability and optimal performance following the shutdown.

The cleaning process employed Trigger Gun technology operating at a pressure of 15,000 psi, enabling the effective removal of scale, fouling, and stubborn deposits from both the shell and tube sides of the heat exchangers. The method provided thorough cleaning while maintaining the integrity of the equipment. The work was conducted by certified technicians adhering strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards compliant with oil and gas industry regulations.

After the cleaning, detailed inspections and documentation verified that the heat exchangers were restored to optimal operational condition, significantly enhancing heat transfer efficiency and overall system performance.
