Project Overview

In March 2023, PT Elbema Integra Indonesia successfully carried out Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair (IMR) activities on several mechanical rotating equipment units at PLTU Antam Pomalaa, Southeast Sulawesi, as part of the plant’s annual shutdown program. The equipment handled included the Induced Draft Fan (ID Fan), Secondary Air Fan (SA Fan), Primary Air Fan (PA Fan), electric motors, condensate pumps, vacuum pumps, boiler feed water pumps, and the Main Cooling Water Pump (MCWP).

The inspection process involved comprehensive vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, and noise level assessment to detect early signs of mechanical failure. Based on the findings, maintenance actions were taken, including the replacement of bearings and seals, grease and oil replenishment, as well as component repairs. A critical task included the repair of a worn shaft on the MCWP using metal build-up techniques to restore its dimensions and functionality according to OEM specifications.

All work was performed by certified technicians following strict technical and safety standards in accordance with OEM manuals, API, and ISO guidelines. The successful execution of this project highlights PT Elbema Integra Indonesia’s commitment to supporting the reliability and operational excellence of Indonesia’s power generation sector.
